Worlds Fastest Schwinn?

Possibly the world's fastest Schwinn! Features a highly modified two-stroke US820 engine (~20 HP @ 8,800 RPM), dual carbs, tuned exhaust, centrifugal clutch, chain drive,  Sturmy-Archer front brake. Depending on the gearing you select, it can go 55,70 or VERY close to 100 MPH. As it sits, it's set up for a separate electric start, but can be readily converted to a pull start if you are macho enough to install it.

CAUTION: This engine is powerful and prone to "kicking" when pull started. It severely tore my right shoulder rotator cuff when I tried it. Surgery and five months rehab was required. Electric starter included. Pickup only in East Texas (near Dallas) or at the Paducah meet over Memorial day.

PS: IT'S LOUD AND WILL PROBABLY DISTURB THE NEIGHBORS WITH THE PRESENT EXHAUST SYSTEM. Price:$1500 (Which is about half what I have invested).

CUSHMAN TRAILSTER For Sale from Ron Dow
Ron's Email Address: gingaw@earthlink.net
You want ugly? You got ugly. You want fast? You got fast. This
Trailster was
built to race against the biggest and meanest, highly modified (though
stock
appearing) flathead Cushman's.
Normally, the Trailster has a top speed of 18 MPH. Cushman offered a
performance kit which boosted performance to 22-24 MPH. Try to imagine
the
snickers I received when I pushed this monstrosity onto the dyno in
Kentucky. No one ever seriously challenged the guys who won this class
year
after year. Why bother? They had bottomless pockets and every
conceivable
performance part available installed on their highly tuned machines.
Record
speed prior to my entry was 73 MPH....I think.
I contacted Raceway Services and gave Jim a challenge. Four thousand
and
five hundred dollars later ($4,500.00), this "sleeper" awed everyone,
myself
included. If looks from the competition could kill, I would not be
writing
this.
I've run it twice. Takes 104 octane gas...MINIMUM. Yours for $1000,
pickup
in the Dallas area only.
Incidentally, the beast ran 84 MPH!!
